No commentsHello Traders!
I hope your week went well!
I bring unfortunate news, I am no longer a funded trader.
However, it’s not a setback in my books, just a step in the process.
Of course I didn’t want to lose the account but I knew it was coming and to be honest I made so many mistakes on that account that I don’t feel like I deserved it anyway.
I didn’t let this loss get the best of me and I bought my next challenge straight away. This time I have gone for a $10K challenge (still with FTMO).
Another downside to this week was that I had a valid trade that I avoided in a moment of mental weakness which ended up being a winner. This truly sucks as I was doing really well with my objective execution and trading accountability scorecard you see on my charts. Both available wins for May were the 2 trades I messed up. Annoying, but it’s nothing we can’t learn from.
Let’s have a look!
MONDAY:
No trade day as UK bank holiday.
TUESDAY:
Nothing for today, quite volatile price action with the M15 changing direction often.
P&L: $0 | Trades: 0 | Result: N/A
WEDNESDAY:
Lost my funding today. Took a trade today from a decent demand zone that was part of a chain. The result was a loss, took forever to play out.
P&L: -$223.04 | Trades: 1 | Result: Loss
THURSDAY:
Trade idea became invalid by rules and that save me from a loss.
P&L: $0 | Trades: 0 | Result: Win/Loss
FRIDAY:
Missed a win because I let my opinionated discretion take over my objective execution.
P&L: $0 | Trades: 0 | Result: (missed win)
WEEKLY RECAP
Closed Trades:
What went well: My attitude to losing my funding. It doesn’t define me as a trader or the end of the journey, it’s just a part of it.
What to improve: Objective execution! Still can’t believe I let my discretion get the best of me on Friday.
Focus for next week: Objective execution! Stick with the backtesting mindset.
End of Month Breakdown
Extremely red but I know where I went wrong. The 14th and the 29th should have been winning days and I should still have my funded account.
Oh well, it is what it is and I need to learn the hard way.
Here’s my Trading Accountability Indicator result for the month of May. A 100% figure for execution rate with zero Rule Violations is what I am looking for – I was close this month but need to work on it!
